FAFSA

The Department of Education has announced the 2024-2025 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) will be available by December 31, 2023.

If your student plans on applying for financial aid for college, you will need to complete the FAFSA. Dependent students will need an FSA ID for one or both of their parents as well.  All students and contributors (such as parents and spouses) must create an FSA Account—even if the contributor does not have a Social Security number.

The FSA ID (account username and password) allows students and parents to identify themselves electronically to access, complete, sign, and submit a FAFSA form. If you don’t already have an FSA ID, go to: studentaid.gov/fsa-id/create-account/launch to create an FSA ID now.

Students and parents are encouraged to complete their FSA ID four days prior to filling out the FAFSA.

The Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA) was created to provide affordable access to higher education for PA students and families.  At this website, you will find information on grants, loans, funding opportunities, webinars, and much more.
